In the morning, get on one of our 4×4’s vehicles to start the discovery of the Eastern Algarve Nature.

We start off by visiting the Natural Reserve of Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo António (called Sapal Verde), observe the different species of birds, including flamingos and the salt pans. Then, travel through track roads, appreciate the Algarvian hilly landscape and refresh in its streams and dams with the Guadiana River as a spectacular backdrop.

On our way to Cacela Velha, we stop at a small farm to taste local produce and – of course – Medronho (firewater made from arbutus berries).

At Cacela Velha, the Algarve gem of Ria Formosa, you can to see the best views of the Natural Park. This picturesque village is full of history and from its centre you´ll be able to see the water mirror of calm waters which allow the collection of various molluscs and bivalves. A truly wonderful experience!

After a short visit to the Santa Rita Park, we head to Cabanas where you board a small boat which takes you to Tavira Island. There, you have time to explore, to relax, to dip in the Atlantic or have lunch at one of the various local restaurants.

At the agreed time, the same boat brings you back to land, where you are waited by the jeep that drives you back to the departure point.

We advise you to dress comfortably and bring your towel, bathing suit and sunblock.
