This tour starts by boarding our beloved “Jasmim Flor” cruise ship in Vila Real de Santo António.

We start sailing down river in front of Vila Real, until its mouth. Then, we reverse direction going up the river along the border, passing by the medieval village of Castro Marim, Ayamonte, the Guadiana International Bridge and the new tourist resorts of Costa Isuri and Castro Marim Golf.

Next, back on land, it’s time to start the off-road experience.

We climb into one of our jeeps and start by visiting the Natural Reserve of Sapal Verde, to observe the different species of birds, including the famous flamingos and the salt pans.

We continue to the Beliche Dam along dirty roads through the beautiful Algarve interior with stunning views and picturesque villages. Afterwards, we head down to the coast and stop at Cacela Velha, the pearl of the Ria Formosa, to contemplate the beautiful views over the Natural Park.

Before returning, we stop at a local farm to taste some delicious regional produce and – of course – a small glass of medronho (arbutus liquor).

Remark: The jeep tour can start in VRSA or in Foz de Odeleite.

We advise you to dress comfortably and bring your towel, bathing suit and sunblock.
